It is with heavy hearts that we remember Victor Tudorica, a beloved researcher in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry at the University of Nottingham, who passed away on February 24th, 2016. Victor was not only a brilliant scientist, but also a passionate advocate for empowering young people with digital and STEM-related skills.
Victor, was originally from Romania, and moved to the United Kingtom for his undergraduate and postgraduate studies. He was deeply committed to giving back to the community. Throughout his career, he worked tirelessly to create opportunities for others and help others develop. He was a mentor and role model to many, and his dedication to education and youth development was truly inspirational.
In honour of Victor's memory and legacy, we established Inspire Foundation Nottingham. Our mission is to advance the education of children and young people in the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and other similar subjects of educational merit, just as Victor was passionate about.
We continue to be inspired by Victor's work and we strive to carry on his legacy by providing access to education and resources in STEM fields to under-served communities, and empowering young people to excel in their studies, pursue careers in STEM and make a positive impact in the world.
Victor will always be remembered for his passion, dedication, and commitment to improving the lives of young people through education. We are grateful for his contributions to the field of STEM education and for his positive impact on the lives of so many.
Rest in peace Victor, your legacy will live on through the work we do.
On the 19th of February 2023, the charity trustees attended the Victor Tudorica Memorial Match, which was organised by the University of Nottingham Handball Club in honor of Dr Victor Tudorica. Victor was a PhD researcher at the University of Nottingham and a beloved member of the handball team. The event was a touching tribute to Victor, and it was heartening to see so many people come together to celebrate his life and love of handball. As a charity dedicated to supporting the well-being and education of young people, we were particularly moved by the sense of community and camaraderie on display at the match. We would like to express our gratitude to the University of Nottingham Handball Club for organizing such a wonderful event and for supporting our charity's mission.
