Inspire Foundation Nottingham together with Scientists from the Cobot Maker Space at the University of Nottingham, and a variety of local organisations and universities joined forces to provide a range of exciting family friendly activities at Wollaton Park on Saturday 8th March 2025 for the return of Science in the Park.
Inspire Foundation Nottingham previously ran the Victor Tudorica Club, a six-month program for young people aged 8-15. The club offered a variety of workshops that provided hands-on learning experiences in computing, robotics, music, and film-making. The club also provided an opportunity to learn about and get inspired by various local research projects, which helped young people to understand the impact of research on the local community. The program was only possible in collaboration with Together Today Nottingham, The Merry Potter Center, Nottingham City Council
Inspire Foundation Nottingham took part in multiple cultural festivals across the city, hosting a series of Science and Technology workshops that attracted participants of all ages. These hands-on sessions offered exciting activities—from basic coding and robotics demonstrations to interactive experiments—aiming to make STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) engaging and accessible for everyone.
Inspire Foundation Nottingham has a history of providing young people in Nottinghamshire with access to cutting-edge research and technology. One such initiative was the visit to the University of Nottingham Mixed Reality Laboratory, where young people were able to explore the work of researchers in various fields such as Human Computer Interaction, Human Robot interaction, Internet of Things, Artificial intelligence and Virtual Reality. The researchers had the opportunity to showcase their work and inspire the next generation of researchers and STEM engineers. This visit was a valuable opportunity for young people to gain a deeper understanding of the potential of these fields and to explore potential career paths
Inspire Foundation Nottingham, Makers of Imaginary Worlds and the University of Nottingham Computer Science joined forces to lead a hands-on workshop at Broadway Cinema. During the workshop, participants gained an understanding of what robots are and how they work, and had the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice by writing visual coding and building their own robots with the help of the group. The workshop was led by experienced computer scientists and was a unique opportunity for young people to explore the exciting world of robotics and gain valuable hands-on experience
Inspire Foundation Nottingham was proud to support the "Positive Images" project, an inspiring photographic exhibition organised by Together Today Nottingham that gave a glimpse into the lives of the Romanian community in Nottingham. We were honored to be a part of this meaningful event that aimed to showcase the richness and diversity of our community
Inspire Foundation Nottingham was proud to be part of Science in the Park 2024, hosting a half-day workshop on LEGO Robotics. During this interactive session, participants of all ages discovered how to build and program simple LEGO robots, gaining valuable hands-on experience with design, coding, and basic engineering concepts.
