Mission and History of Inspire Foundation Nottingham

Inspire Foundation Nottingham is a Nottingham based charity (1193890) dedicated to advancing the education of children and young people in the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and other similar subjects of educational merit. Our goal is to inspire and encourage young people to get involved in and pursue STEM related activities and studies.

We believe that by providing access to education and resources in these fields, we can empower young people to excel in their studies, pursue careers in STEM and make a positive impact in the world.

Our organisation was founded by a group of university lecturers and researchers, educators, and STEM professionals who saw a need for increased access to STEM education for young people in the community. We have been working to provide resources, support, and opportunities for young people to learn about and engage with STEM subjects for over 5 years.

Our programs and initiatives are designed to support young people at every stage of their educational journey, from early childhood education to post-secondary education. We provide mentorship programs, workshops, and educational resources to students in under-served communities and beyond.

We are proud to have partnerships with schools, local universities, Nottingham City Council and other key organisations to support our mission. We work closely with these partners to ensure that our programs and resources are aligned with local needs and are meeting the needs of students in the communities we serve.

We are a non-profit organisation and rely on the support of donors and volunteers to continue our work. We believe that education is a fundamental right and that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in school and in life. With your support, we can continue to provide access to education for young people and help them reach their full potential.

Inspire Foundation Nottingham members come from different educational backgrounds but they are all passionate about education and working with young people hoping to inspire them to pursue further education. Most volunteers come from local universities and science and technology industries.
